A technical problem with Amazon Web Services (AWS) has made the internet and software that AWS powers unreliable in parts of the U.S. This outage is affecting BASIC’s ability to service our CDA and Payroll clients and participants.
AWS is experiencing errors that are causing issues for a range of cloud-software programs in its region. So far, several major services are impacted, including Roku, Netflix, Disney Plus, and other Amazon systems and streaming services.
The company said that it is investigating the experiencing increased error rates, which appear to be regional to the Eastern U.S., and that it is working on a resolution.
Due to the AWS issues, coupled with high call volumes over the past few weeks, BASIC clients and participants may face longer than usual wait times on Tuesday, December 7.
